Business Wire, July 29, 2008
Aims to Increase Participation of Professional Chapter of the ACM for Agile Development
LEXINGTON, Mass. -- AccuRev Inc. today announced its CTO, Damon Poole, was named President of the Agile Bazaar. This Boston-based professional Chapter of the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM), chartered since August 2007, was originally formed by Ken Schwaber as the Agile Alliance New England User Group in 2002.
Mr. Poole aims to increase Agile Bazaar membership, awareness, and increase the frequency of meetings for local New England-based organizations, their engineers and engineering managers. The MIT campus will be used as a forum to interact with leading experts in Agile and Lean software development to share different approaches and foster discussion around Agile software development best practices.
Damon Poole, AccuRev CTO, said, "The Agile Bazaar is a great place to learn more about Agile development and to network with other people. We have a good mix of folks that are in the process of adopting Agile development and those with a wealth of experience to share as Agile practitioners. I am honored to have been elected and look forward to being a part of this wonderful organization."
