New Analyst Research Links Revenue Loss with Poor Application Performance; Aternity Enables Proactive IT Enterprises

Application Performance Management Leader Provides Fastest Path to Real End User Experience Enabling Enterprises to Stop Revenue Leakage
BOSTON -- The recent publication of a new benchmark report by Aberdeen Group, a Harte-Hanks Company (NYSE:HHS), Application Performance Management: The Lifecycle Approach Brings IT and Business Together, further signals the increasing need for real end user experience solutions. Aberdeen's latest findings show that 50 percent of revenue loss is a result of poor Application Performance. In addition, the enterprises surveyed by Aberdeen clearly ranked the ability to identify end user problems as the top priority for any Application Performance Management initiative.
As a result of these substantial findings, Aternity (www.aternity.com) has further solidified its commitment to eliminate the visibility gap between how end users are actually experiencing the IT services they consume - and the impact this has upon business results. To do so, Aternity, the industry's technology leader in end user experience management solutions for Global 1000 enterprises, announced today that it will extend its Proactive IT Enterprise Program, until September 30th, 2008.
"Best-in-Class organizations are taking an additional critical step and are measuring application performance not only from the perspective of their data center components, but also from the end user perspective. These organizations are ensuring that improvements in application availability, response times and usability translate into improved employee satisfaction and productivity, and ultimately, improved customer satisfaction, mitigation of lost revenue opportunities, and avoid damages to brand image," said Bojan Simic, research analyst at Aberdeen.
Aternity's Proactive IT Enterprise Program was launched in late June, 2008 in response to the growing demand from both customers and partners to inject real end user experience management into a number of mission-critical applications throughout multiple industries. The Proactive IT Enterprise Program enables organizations to collaborate with Aternity and build packaged Frontline Performance Intelligence (FPI) Solutions, at no charge.

"The findings from Aberdeen's recent APM benchmark align with the business needs and challenges we are helping to address everyday with our enterprise customers," explained Trevor Matz, president and CEO of Aternity. "And, as a result of launching our Proactive IT Enterprise Program, a dozen Fortune 500 companies are engaging with us to gain a 360 degree view of real end user experience to ultimately increase user productivity and eliminate business disruptions."
