Syntax-Brillian Corporation Announces Intention To Sell Vivitar

Vivitar Excluded From Syntax-Brillian's Chapter 11 Filing; Continues to Conduct Business as Usual
TEMPE, Ariz. -- Syntax-Brillian Corporation (NASDAQ:BRLC), a leading manufacturer and marketer of LCD HDTVs, digital cameras, and consumer electronics products, announced today that it has initiated a process for the sale of Vivitar, the Company's brand of digital still and video cameras. The sale process will occur separately from Syntax-Brillian's Chapter 11 filing announced today. Vivitar is excluded from the Chapter 11 filing and continues to conduct business as usual.
Syntax-Brillian has appointed KPMG Corporate Finance LLC to advise in the sale process.
The Company will have no further comment until the completion of the sale process.
