Philips Releases SpeechExec Enterprise 2.5 to Facilitate Enterprise-Wide Dictation Workflows
Business Wire, July 9, 2008
ATLANTA -- Royal Philips Electronics (AEX: PHI)(NYSE: PHG) today announced the release of SpeechExec Enterprise 2.5, a significant upgrade to its enterprise-wide dictation and transcription management solution. The addition of the SpeechExec Enterprise 2.5 further strengthens Philips' one-stop-solution strategy by simplifying the document creation process for authors, secretaries, transcriptionists, administrators and IT managers.
SpeechExec Enterprise 2.5, a central element in Philips' suite of dictation products, is optimized for easy administration of recording devices and the dictation workflow process. The key features include unique central remote dictation device management, a new service-driven architecture and several administrative functions that significantly accelerate user configuration and simplify the roll-out and set-up of enterprise-wide dictation workflows.
Developed to comply with strict corporate security policies, SpeechExec Enterprise 2.5 offers individual log-ins that clearly identify each dictation user. This allows user access to individual personal dictation settings and files while protecting sensitive information. The new version has also been enhanced for online dictation and transcription.
Compatible with the new Philips Digital Pocket Memo series and the re-designed foot control 2330, it now provides summary reports, detailed job information, file export options and enhanced query filters. SpeechExec Enterprise 2.5 supports Terminal Server and Citrix environments as well as Digital Pocket Memo download in Windows Terminal Server and Citrix environments.
"As we developed the SpeechExec Enterprise upgrade, we worked closely with our customers worldwide to ensure that the administration functions they required were incorporated," said consumer marketing manager Wolfgang Spannlang. "As a result, the software is easier to install and maintain."
