Micro Focus Appoints Marc Andrews as Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing

NEWBURY, England -- Micro Focus today announced the appointment of Marc Andrews as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. With two decades of proven success in managing global business units and sales organisations, Andrews will lead Micro Focus' global field operations.

As Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Andrews will be responsible for Micro Focus' global operations in the areas of sales, channels, marketing, technical services, consulting and maintenance. He will report to Stephen Kelly, CEO of Micro Focus. Prior to joining Micro Focus, Andrews was President International at Saba Software Inc. (US NASDAQ company), based out of Houston, Texas USA. Before his role at Saba Software, Marc spent five years at NetIQ Inc (US NASDAQ company), originally with responsibility for managing the EMEA operations and subsequently promoted to the Chief Operating Officer role. After the acquisition by Attachmate of NetIQ in June 2006, Andrews then held the role of chief operating officer of the NetIQ Business Unit at Attachmate Corporation, where he continued to drive the day to day operations on a global basis. He was instrumental in driving the acquired business unit to significant profitability.
Prior to NetIQ, Marc held several senior executive roles at leading high technology companies, including BMC software in EMEA, as well as senior sales executive positions at Novell and Hi- Performance Systems.
