DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. -- CBM of America, Inc. announces the release of four new products at NXTcomm08. All of these exciting products were "customer designed" specifically to address the many technological challenges that they are encountering within the central office and data center environment.

The CBM IP-MPA (IP Multi Protocol Adapter) is a single port multiple protocol IP mediation device. It is the only single port device of its kind that has been certified under the rigorous NEBS Level 3 criteria. Just the size of a pack of playing cards, the powerful IP-MPA mediates a wide range of protocols, including full BX.25/X.25. It has many installable feature packages, and personality modules, which truly makes it "The King of all IP Mediation!"

The CBM Smart Protocol Cable (SPC) was specifically designed to provide a smarter multi-protocol serial cable as an alternative to the "single minded" Cisco Smart Serial Cable. By simply configuring the dip switches, which are conveniently located right on the head of serial cable, the CBM SPC cable can provide 5 different signaling interfaces. "CBMA's SPC is truly the smarter serial cable".

The CBM Multi-Mode Isolation Translation (MIT) Panel is the only NEBS 3 certified multi-slotted Optical Isolation Patch available anywhere. In addition to being built to protect precious central office network elements from failures caused by ground plane violations, the versatile MIT was also designed to provide universal protocol mediation for any type of interface or network element connection. "Protecting network elements with the power of light!"

The CBM Pancho 16 Patch Panel represents just one of many unique products that CBMA has "customer" designed specifically for the central office. The Pancho 16 was designed to work with many Cisco asynchronous modules that require octal cabling. The Pancho not only eliminates the need for octal cables, but also provides DTE/DCE switching right on the front panel allowing for the standardization of all cabling and adapters, regardless of the type of network element connection. "If you have a Cisco, you need a Pancho!"
