SuccessFactors Announces Winners of SuccessAwards

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Equifax, Arrow Electronics, Kirby Risk and Danbury Health Recognized for Driving Excellence with SuccessFactors Performance and Talent Management Solutions

SAN FRANCISCO -- SuccessFactors, Inc. (NASDAQ:SFSF), the global leader in on-demand performance and talent management solutions, today announced the conclusion of the company's global user conference, SuccessConnect with more than 700 attendees from 350 organizations around the world. Due to overwhelming requests from the company's global customer base, SuccessFactors announced that it will hold its first users conference in EMEA. Dates and location will be provided.

In addition to the more than 40 customer presentations, impactful keynotes, product overviews and exhibits from SuccessFactors' partners, SuccessFactors announced a comprehensive alliance with global business services provider IBM to market, resell and implement SuccessFactors' complete product suite.

SuccessAward Winners

Another highlight of the conference was announcing SuccessAward winners, which recognize leaders and organizations that are dedicated to the future of work through their use of SuccessFactors.

The SuccessAdoption Award, for an organization with the most effective deployment of SuccessFactors was given to Jaqueline Moyse, head of organizational development at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. Moyse led an effort to deploy SuccessFactors to globalize consistent performance management processes, while developing the skills of its leaders. The rollout included creating globally consistent leadership competency sets and defining a performance management process. Adoption of the system quickly approached 100 percent, and the company's management saw in depth reviews of performance against competencies and meaningful performance discussions.

The SuccessROI Award was given to Rynelle Hoffman, global performance consultant at Equifax, for spearheading the design and deployment of a new global performance management program of SuccessFactors, impacting all 5,000 employees, as the organization was evolving its culture to one of a meritocracy. Throughout 2007, in staged implementations, Equifax rolled out SuccessFactors modules to manage goals and performance, compensation and succession planning.

Douglas Gutridge, vice president of human resources at Kirby Risk, won the SuccessInnovation Award for his company's work with SuccessFactors Professional Services to create a modified form for automated progressive discipline which utilizes the SuccessFactors Writing Assistant, components of the SuccessFactors Career and Development Planning module, formalized routing and management dashboards.

The SuccessLeader award went to Susan Sescila, senior analyst of global talent management at Arrow Electronics, for outstanding global system administration and process support, including partnering with SuccessFactors to offer the first "dual Platinum Support" arrangement -- both at the global and the European regional levels.

The SuccessChampion award given to an executive-level sponsor who champions the cause of performance and talent management was awarded to Phyllis Zappala, senior vice president of human resources, Danbury Health Systems. Zappala was nominated by a member of her team, who said, "She is that unique individual who has the ability to communicate from top to bottom without shifting gears. She is all about process improvements and successfully managing change. Our SuccessFactors implementation is a typical example of how she gets things done." When it comes to hospitals and human resources, she is a nationally recognized thought leader, as the first person to design a performance management program in a Connecticut hospital, so it comes as no surprise that she is now the first to make the process even more effective through the use of technology.
