Business Wire, June 11, 2008
Complete Integration of DoubleClick's Revenue Center Platform Will Benefit SHOP.COM's Merchant and Brand Advertisers and Power SHOP.COM's Merchandising Programs
MONTEREY, Calif. -- SHOP.COM, the destination comparison shopping engine that merchandises to women and leverages the multi-merchant features of its patented OneCart[TM] technology, today announced they have chosen DoubleClick's Revenue Center to enhance their media business. This agreement will empower advertisers with additional media programs to reach SHOP.COM's highly coveted female demographic and strengthen the relevancy and RPM of SHOP.COM's site-wide merchandising programs. In addition to existing cost-per-click and cost-per-order product listing programs, merchants and brand advertisers can now access premium display advertising inventory within the SHOP.COM network of sites. Premium placements for this display media inventory will be focused on key areas on the site including home page, department pages, search results pages, editorial content pages, sponsorship and email.
SHOP.COM's display advertising programs will provide flexible options and robust reporting to help advertisers craft and execute successful display-based marketing campaigns. SHOP.COM's campaign options will allow advertisers to meet their business needs through targeted CPM-based campaigns and extend brand reach across the millions of unique monthly visitors within the SHOP.COM network.
By using DoubleClick solutions, SHOP.COM will strengthen its existing display media options with DoubleClick's best-of-breed ad serving and media campaign management solutions. DoubleClick's comprehensive ad serving solution, DART for Publishers, provides capabilities that will enable SHOP.COM to improve both the online experience for the consumer and advertiser ROI. Separately, by using the DoubleClick Ad Exchange, SHOP.COM will be able to efficiently connect with advertising buyers.
"DoubleClick is pleased to work with SHOP.COM to help them deliver innovative programs for advertisers and better manage a breadth of display advertising opportunities across their network," said Jonathan Bellack, Google Group Product Manager. "By leveraging key components of DoubleClick's Revenue Center such as DART for Publishers and the DoubleClick Advertising Exchange, SHOP.COM will be able to scale their business more effectively and maximize revenue across both direct and indirect sales channels."
Through DoubleClick's Revenue Center, SHOP.COM will be able to understand how visitors respond to the advertising on the site and measure click-throughs to various parts of the site, allowing them to share with their advertisers how effective their SHOP.COM digital marketing strategy is and how they can optimize this strategy and participation to achieve the best ROI.
"DoubleClick delivers innovative technology, world-class service and industry-leading solutions for media buyers and sellers. As we continue to evolve our media programs and offer a variety of advertising options, the addition of DoubleClick's solutions will help advertisers meet their return on advertising spend goals," says Drew Green, Vice President, Sales and Business Development at SHOP.COM. "Our position as an industry leading media property allows us to deliver unparalleled integration between buyers and sellers, resulting in a win-win partnership with all of our merchants."
SHOP.COM will join the DoubleClick Advertising Exchange in mid-June 2008 and launch its direct media sales and fulfillment on August 1st.
