Cascade Corporation Announces New Officer Appointments

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Cascade Corporation, (NYSE: CAE), announces the appointment of new officers.

Robert C. Warren, President and CEO of Cascade Corporation, today announced a number of new executive assignments and promotions.

Richard S. Anderson was appointed Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Anderson has been employed by Cascade since 1972 and has held several executive level positions including his appointment, as Vice President - Material Handling Product Group in 1996 and Senior Vice President - International in 1999 and Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in 2001.

Joseph G. Pointer was appointed Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Mr. Anderson. Mr. Pointer joined Cascade in 2000, serving as Vice President - Finance. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Pointer was a Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Portland, Oregon.

Peter D. Drake was appointed Vice President - Americas. Mr. Drake started his career with Cascade in 1991 and has held a number of increasingly responsible management positions in both the Portland and Corporate manufacturing operations.

Frank R. Altenhofen was appointed Vice President - Asia Pacific. Mr. Altenhofen started his career with Cascade in 1983 and has held numerous manufacturing, marketing and management positions, including his appointment to the position of Vice President - Americas in 2007 and General Manager of Cascade's China operations in the mid 1990's. Additionally, Mr. Altenhofen served four years as President of an international medical device company.

Davide Roncari was appointed Vice President - Europe. Mr. Roncari has held a number of increasingly responsible management positions in Cascade's European operations, including his most recent assignment as Director of Engineering - Europe and Director of Production for the Verona manufacturing operations.

Susan Wright joined Cascade in March as Vice President of Human Resources. Prior to joining Cascade Ms. Wright served as Director of Human Resources at the Stanford Graduate School of Business and as Vice President of Corporate Services at Denso Corporation, a Toyota affiliate tier one automotive component manufacturer.
