Expand Networks is Application Product of the Year 2008
Business Wire, June 12, 2008
Company wins leading industry award from Techworld
ROSELAND, N.J. & SLOUGH, UK -- Expand Networks, a leader in application acceleration over the wide area network (WAN) and recently positioned in the Gartner's Leaders Quadrant for WAN Optimization Controllers 2007 has beaten its industry rivals to win the prestigious title of Acceleration Product of the Year with its Compass Platform at the Techworld Awards 2008.
The winners were announced on June 11 at a Gala dinner held at London's O2 Arena, where an independent panel of industry figures and members of the experienced editorial team judges placed Expand's Compass Platform ahead of tough competition from Riverbed, Packeteer, Akamai and Zeus.
Entrants are evaluated for this prominent award on strategy, creativity, innovation and effectiveness. Adam Davison, VP Sales, EMEA, Expand Networks commented, "Without doubt, the Techworld awards are highly regarded in the industry and it's a fantastic achievement to be announced as winners. By understanding how all applications perform over the WAN puts Expand in the best position to help customers define their business needs and enable strategic IT initiatives.
"The innovation and achievements we have demonstrated yet again this year in helping our customers improve remote user productivity, even in the most complicated environments, clearly impressed the judges and led them to award Expand this tremendous accolade."
