GraphOn Awarded Patent Related to Web Servers

Business Wire,  June 16, 2008

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. -- GraphOn Corporation (OTCBB: GOJO), a leading worldwide developer of server-based application publishing and Web-enabling software solutions, announced today that it has been issued a new patent by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

U.S. Patent 7,386,880, issued June 10, 2008, relates to the redirection of connection requests from a user to one of many Web servers. More specifically, the patent describes a system that provides a number of independent and distinct Web sites, and claims a method for directing users to a particular one of the Web sites.

"This patent represents another important addition to our growing intellectual property portfolio in the area of Internet-related server technology," said Robert Dilworth, GraphOn's chief executive officer. "The total number of patents now owned by GraphOn is 23. Continued strengthening and broadening of our patent portfolio, which protects fundamental technology relating to the Internet, represent strategically important activities for GraphOn. Our objectives include continuing to add more patents to our portfolio, maximizing the value of that portfolio, contributing technology to our current GO-Global product line, and providing opportunities for development of new products."

In 2007, GraphOn licensed its patents and patent applications to AutoTrader.com, its parent Cox Enterprises, Inc., and all affiliates. Lawsuits are proceeding against Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: JNPR), alleging that certain Juniper products infringe GraphOn patents protecting network security and firewall technologies, and against Classified Ventures, LLC; IAC/InterActiveCorp (NASDAQ GS:IACI); Match.com (an operating business of IAC/InterActiveCorp); Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ GS:YHOO); eHarmony.com; and CareerBuilder, LLC, alleging infringement of GraphOn patents protecting unique methods of maintaining an automated and network-accessible database.
