True Visions Deploys TANDBERG Television Solution for Pay-TV DTH Satellite Service

Deploys MPEG-2 Head-End to Extend Multi-Platform TV Service Offering in Thailand

HONG KONG -- TANDBERG Television, part of the Ericsson group (NASDAQ:ERIC), today announced that it has extended its relationship with Thailand's True Visions Public Company Limited Corporation with the provision of a new DTH head-end for the True Visions satellite pay-TV service. The TANDBERG Television solution includes the company's market leading MPEG-2 encoding and video processing systems as well as nCompass control and management. True Visions, formerly known as UBC, is the leading provider of DTH and cable TV in Thailand. True Visions uses TANDBERG Television MPEG-2 SD compression systems to deliver rich entertainment services to one million digital satellite and cable pay-TV subscribers.
