AsTeC was created to support and maintain a repository of tissue samples collected from children and adult patients at high risk for Invasive Aspergillosis (IA). IA is a significant cause of death among patients with immune compromising medical conditions. Through laboratory testing, the consortium hopes to learn ways to improve survival for these patients. The website serves to educate the public on IA and as a means of information sharing for consortium members.
