ESG Ranked Fourth Among US-based Firms; Babineau Named Top Ten Global Analyst
MILFORD, Mass. -- Enterprise Strategy Group (ESG), a market-leading information technology research, analysis and consulting firm, was recently named one of the world's top ten analyst firms by the Institute of Industry Analyst Relations (IIAR). Chosen independently by analyst relations professionals across the entire global IT sector, ESG is among an elite class of analyst firms including Gartner, Forrester and IDC.
ESG was ranked ninth globally among all IT analyst firms and fourth among North American-focused firms in IIAR's 2008 "Analyst Firm of the Year" list. ESG also secured the seventh spot on IIAR's list of "Most Important Analyst Firm of the Year."
ESG Senior Analyst Brian Babineau was selected as one of the top ten global industry analysts of the year from approximately 200 nominees. A full list of the winners can be found at http://iiar.wordpress.com/.
> According to the IIAR, their mission is to "enhance the awareness, image and practice of the analyst relations profession globally.""We are pleased, of course, to have ESG recognized as one of the top ten industry analyst firms on the planet," said Steve Duplessie, founder and senior analyst. "What makes this special is that it comes directly from the people who deal with analysts on a daily basis. We know customers spend a lot more money with the bigger firms, but to be ranked this highly in this many categories tells me we must be doing something right. I'm very proud of our team and want to thank the IIAR for putting this together as well as the people who took the time to participate."
The IIAR surveyed analyst relations (AR) practitioners worldwide to find out which analyst firms and individual analysts these professionals thought should be recognized as the best of the best. According to the IIAR, "what came out clearly from the survey was that integrity, independence and market knowledge are the analyst qualities that are most highly valued by AR professionals."
