Business Wire, June 18, 2008
SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- New Generation Software, Inc. (NGS) announces Decision Assist - Financial Performance, a financial analytics solution for IBM System i customers and ISV's who want to modernize and streamline their financial reporting and analysis without moving their General Ledger (G/L) data off the System i.
The solution enhances DB2 data presentation via Adobe Flash and Microsoft Office. It includes an IBM System i data mart, Web portal, financial performance dashboards, multidimensional models, Excel spreadsheets and reports, supporting i5/OS V5R1 and above.
Training is available for integrating this solution with System i-based G/L applications. NGS also offers a fully-integrated version to its Concert Series G/L users.
Decision Assist - Financial Performance dashboards include:
* Income Statement by Revenue, Gross Profit, Selling Expenses, G & A Expenses, Operating Income, and Net Income
* YTD Trial Balance by Organization, Account, and Month
* Actual vs. Budget by Organization, Account, and Month
* Actual vs. Budget by Month, Percentage of Budget
* Cash Flow from Operations, Investments, and Financing
* Non-Cash Deductions from Income
* Changes in Operating Assets and Liabilities
* Balance Sheet Ratios (Current, Quick, Debt to Asset, Cash, Debt by Month, etc.)
Reports that output to Excel spreadsheets, NGS-IQ's OLAP module, PDF, HTML, etc. include Monthly Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Income, and Trial Balance; Actual vs. Budget by Month, Quarter; Comparative Income Statement; and Account Analysis by Period.
"We know many companies want to reduce the time spent assembling financial reports each period and improve the quality and reliability of their presentations to their board, investors, employees, and auditors. Decision Assist - Financial Performance helps them to achieve those goals," explains Bernard Gough, NGS' CEO and President.
Companies with SOX, HIPAA, PCI, or other compliance concerns can license NGS' IQ SeQure security management system to control users' data access at the field and record level and to block specific users from functions such as FTP, e-mail, and downloading data to Windows.
Since 1982, NGS has developed field-proven business intelligence and financial management software for IBM midrange users. NGS-IQ[TM] Business Intelligence and Concert Series[TM] Financial Management System are recognized as IBM ServerProven[R] Solutions.
