Leading Bay Area Accounting Firm Prepares for the Future

SAN FRANCISCO -- Hood & Strong LLP, one of the Bay Area's leading accounting, wealth management, and business consulting firms, announces the firm's move to a new office location at 100 First Street in San Francisco's new Transbay neighborhood.

Citing plans for expansion of practice areas and the hiring of additional staff, Hood & Strong sought a new location for the growing firm. "We anticipate approximately a 20 percent annual growth in team resources in the coming years and needed a space to accommodate that growth and better serve our clients, particularly in the growing private equity and green business areas," said Managing Partner Robert Docili. "We were initially attracted to the dynamic Transbay neighborhood for its central location and outlook as the new financial center for the City, not to mention the added bonus of phenomenal city views, area amenities, and enterprise zone status."

The new 19,000 square-foot space at 100 First Street is more than 6,000 square feet larger than Hood & Strong's previous location at 60 Spear Street. Hood & Strong will occupy the entire 14th floor in the new building.

The move to the Transbay neighborhood is in line with the firm's history of serving clients from some of the most forward-thinking areas. The first Hood & Strong office, established 91 years ago, was in the former Crocker Building on Kearny and Post Streets, one of two skyscrapers at the time in San Francisco.
