X1 Technologies Raises the Bar for Enterprise Search Scalability with X1 Enterprise Server 3.3
PASADENA, Calif. -- X1 Technologies, Inc., the innovator in enterprise search solutions, today announced the availability of X1[R] Enterprise Server 3.3. This new release delivers ease-of-use, scalability and performance enhancements to the already powerful X1 Enterprise Server which is a component of the X1 Enterprise Search Suite. With this new release, enterprises can setup "partitioned indexes" to enhance performance by removing the need for one monolithic index while providing the flexibility to create index partitions by organization, department, or criteria unique to the business. Enhancements to ease-of-use include new "self optimized configuration" for implementing X1 Enterprise Server's extensive cluster support along with a new animated Quick Start Guide. These new features greatly simplify the administration of X1 Enterprise Server and ensure optimal performance of the solution. In addition, X1 has expanded upon its support for international customers with double byte character support in both the server and web browser. Customers and prospects will be able to see X1 at the upcoming Symantec Vision 2008 conference in Las Vegas, NV, June 9-12, booth #608.
"Employees use a desktop client and enterprise search to find what they need in five seconds or less," said Rich Lauwers, Sr. Manager, Process and Compliance at CDW and long term customer of X1. "It's tremendous productivity that goes back to our customers."
The X1 Enterprise Server 3.3 is available via channel partners and directly from X1 Technologies with pricing starting as low as $15,000. As a core component of the X1 Enterprise Search Suite, the X1 Enterprise Server automatically and transparently indexes content housed in multiple information repositories, federates search results and delivers them through a single interface.
"We designed the X1 platform for scalability and speed, which is why the enhancements in X1 Enterprise Server 3.3 further demonstrate our capabilities for the most demanding enterprise customers," said Howard Silver, Vice President of Engineering, X1 Technologies. "The combination of both growing demand for comprehensive enterprise solutions, and the proliferation of data, uniquely position X1 as the innovator in enterprise search solutions."
