Charles River to Webcast Investor Meeting

WILMINGTON, Mass. -- Charles River Laboratories International, Inc. (NYSE:CRL) announced today that it will hold a meeting for the investment community with its management team on Wednesday, June 4, 2008. Investors as well as the general public are invited to listen to a live webcast of the meeting which is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. EDT and is expected to last until approximately 11:45 a.m. EDT. Management will present an overview of Charles River's business and strategic focus.

A live webcast of the meeting will be available through a link that will be posted on the Investor Relations section of the Charles River website, ir.criver.com. A webcast replay will be accessible through the same website approximately three hours after the meeting and will remain available through June 19, 2008.
