Macally Answers the Call for Functionality, Form and Price with Two New Products: IceCam2 for Video Chatting, Video Mail and Vblogs; TriHub 7 to Meet the Increasing Use of USB Peripherals

IceCam 2

The Macally IceCam 2 is a USB2.0 webcam with a built-in microphone designed for use with both Mac and PCs. The IceCam 2 is able to capture up to 30 frames per second, and achieve a 640x480 VGA resolution images with an adjustable focus.

This elegant device was designed to be very versatile, it can sit on any surface, such as a desk or tabletop, or can be clipped on to the top edge of an open laptop screen with a spring loaded clamp base clips designed for laptops and flat panel monitors of various thicknesses. Whether the IceCam2 is sitting or clipped, it offers 2-Axle 360 degree horizontal rotation, 135 degree tilt back and forth swivel joints with fully adjustable pointing angles.

This easy-to-use webcam delivers driver-free plug and play capabilities, with users able to start video chatting almost as soon as it is plugged it in to an available USB port. As a UVC standard compatible webcam, it doesn't require any additional software and is immediately recognized by the computer.

The Macally IceCam 2 was designed for voice and video chat using Skype, iChat, Yahoo Messenger, aMSN (Mac only) and Live Messenger (Windows only) and other instant messaging clients. It works with Mac OS X 10.4.11 or later and can also be used with Windows XP SP2 and Vista.

TriHub 7

To solve consumers' problem of never having enough USB Ports for their rapidly expanding collection of USB-based peripherals, Macally introduced the TriHub 7. It delivers a compact, easy-to-use design for mobile and desktop users alike. It features seven USB2.0 (480 Mbps) ports that are also usable with USB1.1 (12Mbps) devices. With two separated ports for larger USB Devices, adhesive pads on the bottoms to secure the TriHub 7 to desired surfaces, and a DC jack for AC adaptor, Macally has delivered a well thought out handy and useful product.
