Mobile Operator Advice Dispensed From Wireless Media Labs
BOSTON -- The Strategy Analytics Wireless Media Lab service has released, "Mobile Portals: Best Practices for Enhanced User Experience," which identifies eleven key best practices in the design of mobile operator portals, based on evaluations of mobile phone user panels. Users tested twenty portals in five countries over the past year.
In addition to specific recommendations for each mobile portal that was evaluated by Strategy Analytics, there are recommendations concerning portal access, access to information within the portal, portal layout, content download and purchasing experience aimed at the top mobile operators throughout the US and Europe.
"In our many studies we found that following this set of eleven principles resulted in an enhanced user experience, which led to higher satisfaction ratings," commented Chris Schreiner, Senior User Experience Analyst at Strategy Analytics. "The key findings from all of these studies have been merged into one coherent report." Strategy Analytics Media Lab participants repeatedly sought certain key features, including one-click portal access, a simple layout and a straightforward and informative content purchasing experience.
