Acacia Subsidiary Enters into Settlement and License Agreement with Toshiba

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. -- Acacia Research Corporation (Nasdaq:ACTG) announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary, International Printer Corporation, has entered into a settlement and license agreement with Toshiba TEC Corporation and Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc., covering a portfolio of patents that apply to remote management of imaging devices.

This patented technology generally relates to systems and methods that provide remote control and monitoring of networked imaging devices such as copiers, printers and fax machines.
