URS to Support Air Force Base Realignment and Closure Project

Task Order Has Maximum Value of $99.9 Million to URS

SAN FRANCISCO -- URS Corporation (NYSE:URS) today announced that it has been awarded a major new task order under a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract to provide engineering and construction services at bases worldwide for the Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence (AFCEE) under the Heavy Engineering, Repair and Construction (HERC) contract. The task order has a maximum value of $99.9 million, including approximately $89.9 million in a base bid plus $10 million in options, over a two year period.

Under the terms of the task order, as part of an eventual $2 billion program to upgrade and expand the base at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas, URS will design and build two Medical Instructional Facilities which will be used for training military personnel from all branches in the areas of radiology, pharmacy, biomedical equipment and dental technicians along with nuclear medicine technologists.
