TopSchool Unveils TopSchool SLM 2.0

Business Wire,  June 25, 2008

Latest Version of Innovative Student Lifecycle Management System Provides an Easy-to-Use and Affordable Solution for Small to Mid-Size Institutions

DENVER -- TopSchool, the first SaaS provider of administrative solutions optimized for small to mid-size higher education institutions, has announced the availability of the TopSchool SLM 2.0, an innovative, easy-to-use and affordable Student Lifecycle Management (SLM) system.

Facing increased competition, regulation and demand from students for new programs and learning models, today's higher education institutions must have the flexibility to address all of these issues. To make changes effectively, institutions need key data to inform and support their decisions. The TopSchool SLM system provides a single system to collect information beginning with prospects, and moving through their entire institutional experience. This systematic approach allows the institution to determine key variables, such as what type of student should they look for, who is successful at their institution, how do they provide the proper learning environment for their students, how do they best retain students, and more.

"TopSchool was created to provide an easy-to-use, flexible solution that institutions could start using immediately," said Matthew Schnittman, president and CEO of TopSchool. "Over the last nine years, I have heard countless college and university leaders lament the lack of accessible data - we have an affordable solution for their problems. Moving from a static student information system to a more comprehensive SLM system will provide a more responsive solution."

TopSchool SLM 2.0 provides rapid startup and continuous software updates through its software-as-a-service (SaaS) delivery model. This is made possible because all clients are using the same version of the software, with the ability to create customizations to their particular instance. Additionally, since TopSchool was created using the latest Microsoft technologies, the ability to integrate third-party systems is simple and encouraged to map to the institution's business process.

"TopSchool SLM 2.0 should change the way that colleges and universities view student information systems, and how they make their purchasing decisions," said Tony Digiovanni, member of the board of directors for TopSchool. "With this solution, there is no software to install, no long and costly implementations and no upgrade fees. It just makes good competitive sense in the rapidly changing world of education."
