Safeco Insurance Foundation Announces Grant in Support of Red Cross Chapter Serving Indiana Flood Zone

SEATTLE -- The Safeco Insurance Foundation (NYSE:SAF) has announced a $20,000 grant to the American Red Cross of Greater Indianapolis in support of its flood relief services to central and southern Indiana residents.
The donation is earmarked for the Red Cross efforts in helping house victims displaced by the recent flood disaster and clean-up their homes and businesses once the floodwaters recede.
Virginia Anderson, president of the Safeco Insurance Foundation, said, "We are all overwhelmed by the reach of this devastation and the thousands of lives that have been disrupted in Indiana and throughout the Midwest. The Safeco Insurance Foundation is pleased to join in the efforts to support the communities most in need."
The Foundation has also granted a total of $20,000 for disaster recovery to two Red Cross chapters based in Iowa.
