PassAlong Networks Announces Trace Adkins' College Football Online Game Promotion

Business Wire,  June 26, 2008

FRANKLIN, Tenn. -- Media distribution developer PassAlong Networks[TM] has partnered with Athlon Sports Communications, Inc. and EMI's Capitol Records Nashville recording artist and former college football player Trace Adkins for the Athlon Sports 2008 College Football Pick 'em Game. Fans are invited to "Get Your Game On," themed after the lyrics from Adkins' hit country song and award-winning video "I Got My Game On." The first 10,000 people to register will receive a free download of the song "I Got My Game On" courtesy of Capitol Records Nashville and PassAlong Networks.

"PassAlong operates a very efficient platform for executing promotions and we have built an extensive list of clients who utilize this service," said Dave Jaworski, co-founder and CEO of PassAlong Networks. "We are very excited to add Trace Adkins' Athlon Sports promotion to this list."

The Athlon Sports game begins in August and runs for 14 weeks throughout the college football season. Winners will compete to win an all-expenses-paid trip for four to Nashville, Tenn., around New Year's 2009, be hosted by Capitol Records Nashville in its suite at a major college football match-up, and an additional trip for two to a 2009 Trace Adkins concert of the winner's choice to include a backstage "meet and greet" with Adkins.

To play the game, each week registrants pick the winners of each college football match-up presented and compete against Adkins who will make his own picks. Prior to becoming a country singer and working on oil rigs, Trace Adkins spent a year on the practice squad at Louisiana Tech where he played offensive lineman. Adkins remains a football fanatic and is very knowledgeable about the sport. Athlon Sports editors will provide editorial content about each week's college football match-ups for game participants who wish to research their picks. In addition, participants can enjoy virtual interaction with Adkins through video clips, images, music, and a game blog.

Pre-registration for the game lasts from now until August 30. Athlon Sports has posted the game pre-registration page at www.athlonsports.com/gameon where participants can register and receive their free song download. Then in August, Athlon will automatically send each registrant a reminder that it is time for the game to begin.

"PassAlong's service offering was a perfect fit for this promotion," said Chuck Allen, president and CEO of Athlon Sports. "Everyone is very excited to begin the registration process and we are looking forward to the launch of the game in August."

In addition to the Grand Prize trips, 12 runner-up prizes will be awarded to the players earning the top scores over 14 weeks. Also, the five participants who earn the most points each week will win a prize such as Trace Adkins ring tones, CDs, T-shirts and other collectibles. More than 150 total prizes will be awarded including JVC consumer electronics: a 47" TeleDock TV, Everio camcorder, iPod Dual Docks and headphones. Jet Blue and XM Radio are also promotional partners.
