Business Wire, June 26, 2008
Dogs and Cats Compete for a Career in Show Business
NEW YORK -- Do you think your dog could be the next Lassie or your cat the next Morris? Bideawee, one of the nation's oldest humane organizations, Bash Dibra, a celebrity dog trainer and best selling author, and NY Save, a veterinary organization have organized StarPet 2008, a national, online pet talent search for the best dog and cat star in America. The grand prize winner will receive representation by Bash Dibra to secure television, stage, print or film roles for their pet.
Pet owners can enter their pet contestants at www.StarPet2008.com where they can submit photos and a video of their dog or cat.
Three dog semi-finalists and three cat semi-finalists will be announced on Oct. 13, 2008 on the Star Pet 2008 web site. The six semi-finalists will receive a three day and two night stay in a NYC hotel and round trip airfare. They will compete to become the grand prize winner at a luncheon in New York City on November 10, 2008 where the semi-finalist pets will perform their special talents before a celebrity panel of judges.
"If you are a proud owner of that special, charming, photogenic dog or cat with extraordinary talents, then this is the ultimate competition for you. With its online access StarPet reaches an unlimited national audience and it's very easy to submit your pet to the competition," said Bash Dibra, author and celebrity dog trainer.
