Business Wire, June 26, 2008

Works with Oracle to Extend Member Benefits and Expand the Applications Community

ATLANTA -- The Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG), the world's largest and oldest knowledgebase for Oracle[R] Applications users, announced a strategic integration alliance with the community of Hyperion applications users, a partnership supported by Oracle Corp.

"We are encouraging Hyperion users to join the OAUG because of the organization's close working relationship with Oracle and its history of being able to integrate user groups into the Oracle community," said John Kopcke, sr. vice president, enterprise performance management global business unit, Oracle Corporation.

Through the partnership, the Hyperion community of users will align its applications users with the OAUG. The decision to align provides the Hyperion user community with numerous OAUG resources for fostering a strong and independent global users community, such as educational and networking opportunities, access to existing channels of influence within Oracle and platforms for sharing best practices and expertise with peers and experts within Oracle's expanding global community.

OAUG's specific benefits offered to the Hyperion user community include:

* Access to the Knowledge Factory[TM], an online community-driven content and educational resource, which includes specific Hyperion-related content

* E-learning sessions and educational workshops

* Networking opportunities at regional and national industry meetings

* Connections with other Hyperion users though special interest group activities

* Participation in established collaborations with Oracle

* Representation at OAUG events, including COLLABORATE annual conferences

The OAUG's extensive network of affiliated geographic user groups (Geos) and its active Hyperion Special Interest Group (SIG) further helps integrate Hyperion users into the Oracle community by enabling them to learn more about Oracle products and services, share best practices and establish relationships with local Oracle management.

"The OAUG's commitment to an effective transition into the extended Oracle family guarantees our users the support needed to establish their niche and grow in their knowledge of Oracle-related applications," said Ed DeLise, vice president of sales at Finit Solutions and OAUG Hyperion SIG Coordinator.

"The OAUG is dedicated to smoothly integrating the Hyperion community of users into the Oracle family and enabling them to maintain their unique identity within the OAUG," said Jan Wagner, president of OAUG. "We look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship as we share new and creative ideas to work together and maximize our Oracle Applications investment."
