Optellios Staff Member Becomes Pennsylvania's Only SIA Certified Security Project Manager
Business Wire, June 26, 2008
LANGHORNE, Pa. -- Optellios, Inc., announced today that a member of its staff has received a Certified Security Project Manager accreditation from the Security Industry Association (SIA). Mr. George Zisk, the company's Operations Manager, completed the final steps of the certification program on June 20, 2008, making Optellios the only company in the state of Pennsylvania to have a Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM) on its staff.
Despite being primarily a technology company and an equipment manufacturer, Optellios is deeply involved in security system integration. The company's FiberPatrol intrusion detection and communication systems often become the backbone of a security project. One reason for this is the unprecedented capabilities of the company's fiber-optic technology, such as its long-range, GPS-reporting perimeter intrusion sensors. Driven by an overwhelming demand from customers to take on a more central role in projects, Optellios also introduced its own enterprise-scale security integration platform, the FiberPatrol Remote Alarm Management System (FPRAMS), thus completing the FiberPatrol security solution.
"Efficient project management is paramount to our success, given the complexity of modern physical security systems and the number of players involved in a typical project," said George Zisk. "This is where the information and tools provided by the CSPM program are so useful. I believe that everyone working as a project manager in the security industry can benefit from completing this program. But most important to me are the benefits that I and the rest of the Optellios team can deliver to our customers," added Mr. Zisk.
According to the Security Industry Association, "Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM) Program provides a nationally recognized professional accreditation for Project Managers involved in the design and installation of security systems. The goal of this program is to offer certification to individuals who have demonstrated their proficiency in every aspect of project management as it relates to security systems."
