DreamFactory Announces Sam Rapp as Vice President of Sales

--Company Continues Momentum with Increased Demand for Cloud-Based Applications--
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- DreamFactory, a pioneer in cloud-based web applications, today announced Sam Rapp as vice president of sales. DreamFactory publishes on multiple cloud computing platforms such as Salesforce.com's Force.com, Amazon Web Services, Intuit QuickBase and Cisco WebEx Connect.
Rapp's 25 years of sales and general management experience includes senior leadership roles in several high growth technology companies. At DreamFactory he will drive the entry into new markets, oversee sales growth through direct and indirect channels, and manage the revenue side of business development activity.

Prior to joining Dream Factory, Rapp served as vice president of worldwide sales, marketing and business development at KnowNow, a leader in the information management and delivery marketplace.
Before that, Rapp was vice president of Americas field operations at Serena Software. During his tenure, the company doubled overall revenues.
Before joining Serena, Rapp was senior vice president of worldwide sales for Oblix, a security and identity management company, where he grew revenue from less than $1 million to more than $22 million, leading to a successful acquisition of the company by Oracle. Prior to Oblix, Rapp was vice president of Americas sales at BEA Systems. While at BEA, he helped grow revenue from $60 million to more than $400 million. Before BEA, Rapp held a succession of sales and sales management positions with Silicon Graphics while the company's overall revenue grew from $50 million to more than $1 billion.
Rapp received his bachelor's degree in American history from Yale University.
