Business Wire, June 4, 2008
Integrated solution suite promotes situational awareness, streamlines operations and advances public safety incident prevention, preparation, and response efforts
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- Emergency services organizations now can rapidly analyze and convert vast amounts of law enforcement records and data into actionable information for enhanced decision-making with Intergraph's new Business Intelligence for Public Safety solution suite.
In response to the demand for improved data visibility and reporting, Intergraph collaborated with Business Objects, an SAP company, the world's leading provider of business performance optimization solutions, to combine the application specific data from Intergraph's emergency incident response, planning and reporting solutions with Business Objects' proven Business Intelligence platform, BusinessObjects[TM] XI.
The Intergraph Business Intelligence for Public Safety suite enables a broad range of public safety users to rapidly access real-time operational data created by computer aided dispatch (CAD), records and other databases in order to gather further insights for investigations and planning, manage performance, generate reports, and make the information available in a secure environment to those who need it. This new functionality enables emergency services organization to more effectively prevent, prepare and respond to critical incidents by providing the visual information to make decisions, forecast likely occurrences and take immediate action to mitigate, and hopefully eliminate, threats.
"Each and every day, public safety agencies rely on Intergraph's emergency incident response, planning and reporting solutions to protect one in twelve people around the world. As a partner to these agencies, we are always looking for ways to meet their evolving needs, as well as the needs of the communities they serve," said Reid French, executive vice president and chief operating officer, Intergraph. "Deploying a powerful new Business Intelligence suite will enable agencies to improve operational efficiency, eliminate errors resulting from uninformed decision making, and enable broader, more accurate forecasting of trends and potential outcomes. These improvements will bring great benefit to the agency and the communities they serve. All of us at Intergraph are honored to provide our customers with these revolutionary enhancements."
Intergraph's Business Intelligence for Public Safety solution suite is comprised of several applications, including a Web report viewer which serves as the core Business Intelligence platform, a Web Intelligence[TM] tool that enables casual users to explore data interactively, a report designer that allows users to design and deliver reports on paper, via the Web or embedded in other applications, and with Intergraph's proprietary incident analysis technology that analyzes public safety information within a geospatial framework.
