The World's Best PC Gamers Join SteelSeries in China Disaster Relief Effort
Business Wire, June 4, 2008
CHICAGO -- SteelSeries, the leading manufacturer of innovative professional gaming gear, today announced a massive auction on eBay.com (U.S.) and wuji.org. The auction will support disaster relief in China and all proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross Society of China (RCSC) for the survivors and families affected by the recent earthquake. Through its professional gamer following and industry-leading products, SteelSeries is creating one of the largest charity collections with professional gamers ever, with dozens of gaming products, each autographed by some of the world's top PC gaming teams such as MeetYourMakers, SK Gaming, Made in Brazil, Gravitas Gaming, TEK9, level99, Excello and mousesports.
Products up for auction include the new SteelSeries Ikari Laser Mouse, SteelSeries 5H v2 USB headsets, SteelSeries Siberia Neckband headsets and a wide variety of SteelSeries gaming surfaces. All money raised from the auction will be donated to RCSC, who has the established infrastructure to render direct and immediate disaster relief to the earthquake victims in China. The RCSC is the only national Red Cross society in the People's Republic of China and is a humanitarian social relief organization.
SK Gaming, one of the world's premier sites for eSports coverage, is hosting a dedicated page that will be updated as new auctions are introduced throughout the month. This page can be reached at: http://www.sk-gaming.com/content/17287-SteelSeries_512_Charity.
