HighJump Software Appoints Timothy Campbell as CEO
Business Wire, June 6, 2008
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- HighJump[TM] Software, a global provider of supply chain execution solutions, has appointed Timothy Campbell as chief executive officer. Campbell will also serve on HighJump's board of directors.
Campbell joins HighJump Software from his position of president of Symyx Software, the software division of Symyx Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:SMMX). Under Campbell's leadership, Symyx Software rapidly grew to over $100 million. This growth included the successful acquisition and integration of MDL Information Systems which, when combined with Symyx Software, resulted in the market-leading cheminformatics technology provider serving life sciences, chemicals and energy.
"Tim brings a wealth of experience in software business management and executive leadership to HighJump," said Dave Tabors, general partner, Battery Ventures. "HighJump has grown to have a significant market presence in the supply chain software industry. Under Tim's leadership, the company is poised for the next phase of its growth, and is in an excellent position to aggressively expand its product portfolio and worldwide business both organically and through acquisition."
With 20 years of experience in the software industry, Campbell's tenure also includes chief executive positions at Steelwedge Software, a provider of supply chain planning software, Industri-Matematik International, a provider of supply chain execution solutions, and ePIT Systems Inc., an enterprise software provider of trading infrastructure for regulated exchanges and investment banks.
"HighJump established a strong market position under the previous ownership of 3M based on the strength of its customer relationships, products and employees," said Campbell. "I look forward to leveraging this foundation for further growth under the ownership of Battery Ventures."
