Covad Adds T1 Service in 285 Cities Nationwide

Agreement with New Edge Networks Expands Service Availability to Better Serve Businesses with Multiple Locations

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Covad Communications Company, a leading national provider of integrated voice and data communications, is extending the availability of its business-class T1 service to 285 new cities today through an agreement with New Edge Networks, a wholly-owned subsidiary of EarthLink.

Covad Business T1 service gives business customer increased bandwidth and greater reliability from their Internet connections. Covad provides three symmetrical speed options (1.5 Mbps, 768 Kbps and 384 Kbps), flexible IP addressing, and a dedicated support team.

In addition, Covad has the nation's largest ADSL2 network and offers partners a broad portfolio of DSL and T1 services, including bonded T1, as well as line-powered voice access.
