Business Wire, June 9, 2008
Infor Solutions to Enhance Visibility into Business Information
ATLANTA -- Infor today announced that MFA Incorporated, a farm supply and marketing cooperative with more than 45,000 members, has selected several of its business software solutions as part of a two-phased enterprise application renovation project. Upon completion, MFA will rely on Infor solutions in the areas of Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Financial Management (FM), Performance Management (PM), and Supply Chain Management (SCM) to provide access to real-time information that can be used to make more informed business decisions and improve customer service.
MFA's deployment will first focus on upgrading its core financial package, human resource management and its wholesale operations business. These upgrades set the stage for future integration with the more than 100 retail operations in Missouri and adjacent states.
"In the agriculture business, you only get one chance to get it right. Due to the seasonality of our business, it is imperative to have the appropriate insight into our operations and inventory to accurately place product prior to and during each growing season," said Ernie Verslues, controller, MFA Incorporated. "Infor understands our unique challenges and delivers solutions that will enable us to elevate our high customer service standards."
The agricultural industry's ability to react to changes in demand, weather, commodity pricing, and market conditions is integral to its long term success. With Infor's solutions, MFA can quickly model and identify how shifts in demand or production will impact their business, providing greater accuracy and flexibility in forecasting and demand planning.
"The business-specific functionality built into Infor solutions will empower MFA with greater flexibility to adapt to the changing business conditions unique to the agriculture industry," said Mike Frichol, vice president, global Industry and Product Marketing, Infor. "MFA's investment in Infor will provide greater control over business process and access to real-time business information, enabling MFA to better serve its members."
