Avnet Electronics Marketing Named Distributor of the Year by SEI

PHOENIX -- Avnet Electronics Marketing, an operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), today announced its specialty interconnect, passive and electromechanical (IP&E) division has been named Distributor of the Year by Stackpole Electronics, Inc. (SEI).
Avnet received the award based upon achieving the highest percentage of year-on-year sales growth for 2007. Avnet was also named Distributor of the Year by SEI in 2005. "It's an honor to be chosen to receive this award for a second time in three years," said Ed Smith, senior vice president of sales for Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas.
