Tech Council of Maryland to Exhibit at BIO 2008 International Convention

ROCKVILLE, Md. -- The Tech Council of Maryland (TCM) announced today its participation in the BIO 2008 International Convention to be held June 17 - 20, 2008, in San Diego, California. The BIO International Convention is an annual event held at different locations throughout the United States. The theme for this year's convention is, Heal, Fuel, and Feed the World.

Maryland-based biotech organizations sharing exhibit space with TCM at the convention include: Accelovance, Inc.; Amarex Clinical Research; BioFactura, Inc.; BioTech Primers, Inc.; C3Consulting, Inc.; Clarassance, Inc.; Clinical Research Management, Inc.; MaxCyte, Inc.; STB Lifesaving Technologies, Inc.; and University of Maryland Biotechnology Institute. In addition to these, Maryland tech and bio-tech exhibitors, BioMaryland, of which TCM is a lead partner, is a Double Helix Sponsor of BIO 2008 and will be the sole host of the convention's Gala Reception - the Gaslamp Quarter Block Party.

BIO 2008 International Convention will showcase how the biotechnology and life sciences industries are working together to make our world a cleaner and healthier place to live, through new drug developments, clean technologies, and new ways to improve our food supply. This year's convention is expected to attract over 20,000 attendees. California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and General Colin L. Powell USA, (Ret.), will be this year's keynote speakers.
