RedTail Solutions Announces Availability of Its Software as a Service for EDI Integrated With Microsoft Dynamics GP V10.0 ERP

Helps Suppliers With End-to-end Automation for EDI Transactions
WESTBOROUGH, Mass. -- RedTail Solutions, a provider of Software as a Service (SaaS) supply chain solutions for EDI and data synchronization, today announced the availability of out-of-the-box integration for the latest release of MS Dynamics GP (Great Plains) 10.0, a popular mid-market accounting software system from Microsoft Corporation.
RedTail will exhibit its newest solution for Great Plains end-users and re-sellers at Microsoft Convergence 2008 being held March 11-14th in Orlando, FL, at booth #264.
RedTail's SaaS solution handles all order to cash transactions between trading partners and manufacturers and distributors using MS Dynamics GP through its RedTail Transaction Manager[TM] (RTTM).
The solution extends business process integration and enhances collaboration capabilities, both of which have been augmented in the latest release of Microsoft Dynamics GP. Version 10.0 has added advanced search capabilities that extend from GP to the MS Office environment, expanded reporting options through SQL Server and the ability to automate workflows. This new version embraces the look and feel of Office 2007 and the VISTA operating system.
RedTail co-developed its solution with partner Binary Stream Software. Using the SaaS platform, EDI purchase orders are seamlessly moved to Microsoft Dynamics GP sales orders. Once the items are shipped, information is passed to the RTTM to generate and transmit the EDI invoice to the trading partner, streamlining order entry and invoicing workflows.
With the latest RTTM, package-level detail information is gathered from the MS Dynamics GP and shipping applications and passed to RTTM, where it is merged with the data from purchase orders and used to generate Advanced Shipping Notices. This results in high-level business process integration in the supply chain's order-to-receipt process. The generation of high volumes of Advance Ship Notices can also be automated through receipt of data from a warehouse management system or a remote warehouse/3PL.
