Business Wire, March 10, 2008
Forms One of the Largest Insurance Agencies in the Northern Mountain Region
CHICAGO -- Hub International Limited announced today that Hub International Mountain States Limited (HUB Mountain States) has acquired Flynn Insurance Agency (Flynn), a Montana agency with annual revenues of $6,000,000. Both Flynn and Hub Mountain States currently have offices in Great Falls, Billings and Missoula, MT. An integration of the offices in each location is being considered. With this acquisition, HUB Mountain States becomes one of the largest insurance brokers in Montana.
One of Montana's oldest and most respected insurance agencies, Flynn was started by the Flynn family in the late 1920's. The family retained ownership until 1997 when the agency was sold internally to a group of employees. Flynn currently has 46 employees managing a diverse book of business that is primarily commercial. The agency is particularly strong in heavy construction and is one of the top two surety bond agencies in Montana.
Tim Barnes, President of HUB Mountain States, enthused that "Flynn's operations complement our current structure and their co-location in our targeted growth areas of Great Falls, Billings and Missoula will enhance our position and effectiveness in all three cities. Flynn's expertise in heavy construction and surety combined with our strength in residential construction gives us a very strong presence in Montana's construction industry."
Flynn is excited about becoming part of HUB International because "it expands the value-added services and resources available to our clients and provides them a one-stop shop for all their insurance needs," said Tom Sidor, President of Flynn.
Headquartered in Chicago, IL, Hub International Limited is a leading North American insurance brokerage that provides a broad array of property and casualty, reinsurance, life and health, employee benefits, investment and risk management products and services through offices located in the United States and Canada.
