Integra Telecom Trials National Agent Program
Business Wire, March 10, 2008
Company Establishes Strategic Partnership with Intelisys/Digital Planet to Develop New Channel Partner Program
PORTLAND, Ore. -- Integra Telecom Inc., a facilities-based, integrated communications carrier for business, partnered with the Intelisys/Digital Planet Strategic Alliance, to test its new National Agent Program. The new channel partner program streamlines pre-and post-sales administration; allowing national business communications agents to collaborate with all of Integra's markets. The National Agent Program is in a trial stage and will operate in addition to Integra's existing regional channel partner agreements. Through the program, partners have the option to operate on a single, national master agreement, rather than individual state contracts. Subject to the success of the trial, Integra plans to open the program to other qualifying agents later this year.
"Channel partners play a critical role in Integra's ability to offer industry leading telecommunication services to customers across all of the markets we serve," said Trent Anderson, vice president of marketing for Integra Telecom Inc. "Intelisys and Digital Planet have a proven track record of teamwork and meeting the needs of our customers. We look forward to working with them through the National Agent Program to broaden our sales partnerships to include national agents."
Digital Planet has operated as a regional Integra Telecom channel partner serving Minnesota and North Dakota for the past seven years. Through the National Agent Program, the Saint Paul, Minn., based company and its strategic partner Intelisys Communications Inc., located in Petaluma, Calif., will represent Integra's business telecommunication product set through independent sales channels.
"Integra Telecom can leverage the vast resources of the Intelisys/Digital Planet Strategic Alliance to develop and test a national program efficiently," said Shawn Schmidt, co-founder of Digital Planet. "Having been a top producing regional partner for many years, we are honored to be part of Integra Telecom's national trial."
