The Hartford And Chip Ganassi Racing With Felix Sabates To Launch Partnership For NASCAR Sprint Cup Series At Bristol Motor Speedway

With its iconic stag logo taking its place on the hood of an 800-horsepower racing machine, The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc., (NYSE: HIG) announced today that it will sponsor No. 40 Dodge Charger on March 16 at the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway when Dario Franchitti takes on NASCAR's best in the fifth race of the 2008 Sprint Cup Series season.

Bearing The Hartford's distinctive colors, the maroon and yellow race car will feature The Hartford's branding on the hood, tv and quarter panels. Franchitti will wear a maroon and yellow firesuit featuring The Hartford and the stag logo.

In addition to the primary paint scheme in Bristol, The Hartford will continue to be featured on the No. 40 Dodge as an associate sponsor for the remainder of the 2008 season . Furthermore, Franchitti and Ganassi's IndyCar driver Dan Wheldon will both carry The Hartford's iconic stag logo on their fire suits throughout the NASCAR Sprint Cup and IRL IndyCar Series seasons, respectively..

This CGRFS sponsorship adds to The Hartford's list of sports marketing efforts which include being an Official Corporate Partner of the NCAA[R] and sponsorships in men's and women's golf. SportsMark Management Group is the sports marketing agency of record for The Hartford and is consulting with CGRFS to activate the sponsorship.
