ICAP Real-Time Data Now Available for New Enterprise-Wide Business Applications Within Reuters Integrated Data Network
Business Wire, March 11, 2008
LONDON -- ICAP (IAP.L), the world's premier interdealer broker, and Reuters, the global information company (LSE: RTR; NASDAQ: RTRSY), today announced that ICAP real-time data is now available for use in enterprise-wide business applications through the Reuters Integrated Data Network (IDN), a high-performance network collecting, collating and distributing real-time market data.
Under the new agreement, Reuters' customers will now be able to contract the use of already distributed ICAP data via the Reuters IDN delivery channel to power applications across a range of real-time business activities.
ICAP real-time, global data offerings available via Reuters IDN cover a breadth of asset classes and instruments. These include active US Treasury securities as sourced from the electronic BrokerTec platform and other ICAP-sourced government debt and fixed income products, credit derivatives, energy and commodities, spot foreign exchange, forwards, NDFs and options, interest rate derivatives and money markets.
Antoine Kohler, Managing Director of Information Services, ICAP, said, "We are pleased to expand upon our successful and longstanding relationship with Reuters by facilitating valuable business applications for existing real-time ICAP data. Today's professional trading institutions need authoritative real-time pricing to support and satisfy increasingly rigorous risk and portfolio management requirements. As the world's premier interdealer broker and market information services provider, ICAP is pleased to provide Reuters IDN customers with the quality data they need to remain competitive."
"The Reuters IDN is designed to efficiently and effectively deliver premium real-time content to financial institutions for critical business requirements," said Bill Ruvo, Vice President and Data Feeds Business Manager, Reuters. "Because ICAP market data is a recognised standard for deal construction, evaluation and settlement pricing, and contributes to leading industry benchmarks across many asset classes and instruments, Reuters IDN customers will derive significant value from its use in key business applications."
