Business Wire, March 11, 2008
IN83 Comes Armed with the Latest DLP[R] DarkChip4(TM) Technology
WILSONVILLE, Ore. -- InFocus Corporation (NASDAQ:INFS), the industry pioneer in digital projection technology, introduces the InFocus IN83, a full HD 1080p projector featuring DLP[R] DarkChip4[TM] technology with BrilliantColor[TM] from Texas Instruments. The IN83 is the newest addition to our Play Big home theater projector line.
"We are excited to announce the IN83 as the next member of our award-winning family of home theater projectors," said David Woolf, Senior Director of Product Management. "This stunning product highlights InFocus's dedication to delivering an outstanding home theater experience to our customers."
The IN83 combines state-of-the-art technology with a sleek, low profile design. Featuring the latest DLP[R] DarkChip4[TM] technology, the Play Big IN83 offers a native 5,000:1 contrast ratio (with a maximum contrast of 15,000:1) that ensures true-to-life color accuracy. With video-optimized brightness of 1,600 max ANSI lumens, the IN83 is vibrant enough to deliver film-standard, D65K color accuracy, even in ambient light during a daytime movie or sporting event.
Additionally, the IN83 utilizes the InFocus Color Gamut Calibrator with ISF Day and Night presets and comes with integrated Pixelworks[TM] DNX[TM] 10-bit video processing technology and the latest HDMI 1.3 with Deep Color[TM] support providing 1.07 billion colors, so every scene is vivid and crystal clear.
The Play Big IN83 is versatile, providing 2.35:1 Cinemascope/widescreen aspect ratio support without an external scaler (requires the Panamorph anamorphic lens, available separately). It accommodates any home entertainment environment, with easy connectivity to nearly any consumer electronic device including: HD media players, HD cable and satellite receivers, DVD players, computers and video game consoles.
