Business Wire, March 11, 2008
MIAMI -- Greenberg Traurig attorney Patricia Menendez-Cambo has been appointed to the University of Pennsylvania Law School's Board of Overseers. The Board of Overseers is the advisory body to the Dean of the Law School, and its members serve as a vital channel of communication with the University Trustees on the activities of the Law School. The individual board members are professionals, experts and informed lay people who provide volunteer leadership and financial support to the areas they serve. As ambassadors and spokespersons for Penn Law, they link the Law School to the University and the world.
"Patricia's appointment to the Penn Law Board of Overseers recognizes her commitment to her alma mater, and perhaps more importantly, the wisdom and judgment she can bring by connecting Penn Law to the global business community," said Cesar L. Alvarez, Chief Executive Officer of Greenberg Traurig. "Patricia will bring the same energy and commitment to this position as she has to her work as co-chair of Greenberg Traurig's Global Practice Group."
Menendez-Cambo focuses her practice on international corporate and securities and is the co-chair of Greenberg Traurig's Global Practice Group. She received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and her B.B.A. in Economics from the University of Miami. Menendez-Cambo was recently named one of the "100 Most Influential Lawyers in America" and one of the "50 Most Influential Women Lawyers in America" by the National Law Journal. She has also been consistently recognized by other leading legal publications such as Chambers & Partners, Best Lawyers in America and Latin Lawyer. She is a board member of the Council of the Americas and a trustee of the National Alliance for Autism Research (NAAR).
