Go Daddy & NASCAR: A Match Made in Victory Lane!

Business Wire, March 12, 2008

Go Daddy Goes Primetime with Network TV Sponsorship of Bristol Race

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- GoDaddy.com is proud to be the presenting sponsor for this weekend's telecast of the NASCAR Nationwide Series race at the Bristol Motor Speedway, in Bristol, Tennessee.

The famed Bristol track, widely known as the "World's Fastest Half-Mile," is one of the most popular on the NASCAR circuit, and Go Daddy will be there to deliver all of the excitement, energy and action of race day to fans - from the opening lap to the checkered flag! The Go Daddy name and logo will be popping up everywhere, from broadcast segments to the running order - even in one of the in-car views.

The Nationwide Series is aired live on ABC, ESPN and ESPN 2. Last year the series drew millions of TV viewers. Its popularity made the sponsorship an easy decision, GoDaddy.com CEO and Founder Bob Parsons said.

"There's no doubt about it, NASCAR racing is as grassroots American as it gets," Parsons said. "It's fast, fun and a natural fit for Go Daddy."

Go Daddy, the world's largest domain registrar and the largest hosting provider in North America, first announced its foray into the exciting world of NASCAR in December. That's when Go Daddy joined with JR Motorsports and Hendrick Motorsports in an agreement that paired the company with one of the sport's most successful teams - and its most popular driver - Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Go Daddy is the primary sponsor for the No. 5 NASCAR Nationwide Series Chevrolets for six races in 2008; the deal also made Earnhardt an official Go Daddy spokesman.

Earnhardt will debut the No. 5 Go Daddy Race Car - which he designed - at the Texas Motor Speedway next month. Mark Martin and Ron Fellows will also drive the car in 2008.

Go Daddy actually started building its racing presence back in 2006, when Parsons signed the Indy Racing League's most popular driver, Danica Patrick, as a company spokeswoman and "Go Daddy Girl." In 2007, Go Daddy was the presenting sponsor for the legendary Indy 500 broadcast.

The "NASCAR Nationwide Race from Bristol, Presented by GoDaddy.com," can be viewed live, Saturday, March 15, on ABC TV at 2 p.m. EDT.
