America On the Move Foundation Selects GroundFloor Media as Its National PR Agency

DENVER -- America On the Move Foundation (AOM), the national nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals, families and communities make positive changes in their health, has hired GroundFloor Media as its national agency of record. The Denver-based public relations agency will immediately implement a national strategic public relations plan promoting America On the Move[R] as a national movement encouraging everyone to take steps towards a healthier way of life.

Research by Dr. Hill and others has shown that walking 2,000 more steps and consuming 100 fewer calories per day is enough to stop most people from gaining weight. With more than 1 million online and offline participants nationwide, AOM offers free tools and resources to help build healthier eating and activity habits. One of the organization's more visible initiatives is the annual Steptember event, which encourages people to walk for physical exercise, particularly with the use of a pedometer. AOM also provides toolkits designed specifically for worksites, healthcare providers, and families to help them get employees, patients and loved ones moving more and eating smarter.
