Business Wire, March 14, 2008

MIAMI -- The most sophisticated and seasoned travelers in the world have spoken and once again recognized LAN Airlines for its outstanding service. Global Traveler magazine's GT Tested Awards and Business Traveler magazine's Reader's Choice Awards, recognized LAN Airlines for its overall service and Business Class respectively.

The readers of Global Traveler magazine expressed their appreciation for LAN Airlines' overall service naming it the Best Airline in South/Central America. In addition to its Premium Business Class, LAN Airlines has made important enhancements to the overall fleet. LAN flights between the US and South America now offer newly designed Economy Class cabins featuring spacious, colorful and relaxing interiors that add to the warmth and hospitality that LAN is known for. Larger individual video monitors with high definition and widescreens in each seatback are also part of the upgrade. Francis X. Gallagher, GT publisher and CEO commented on the survey's importance in the industry: "The invaluable results of our survey should greatly influence which carriers frequent business travelers choose to fly, where they decide to stay and which products they use."

Eva Leonard, Editor-In-Chief of Business Traveler magazine recognized the foreign carriers such as LAN Airlines for their success in the industry: "This year's Business Traveler Best In Business Travel Awards survey, compiled solely from the responses of our readers, proves yet again foreign carriers are outpacing their American counterparts by a wide margin when it comes to serving travelers' needs and exceeding expectations."

LAN Airlines recently made a key investment worth more than US$100 million with the re-design of its Premium Business Class and new Economy cabins, placing the airline in the forefront of the industry and the leader in the region. Key amenities such as full-flat seats, more than 300 on-demand entertainment options, gourmet cuisine and a wine list selected by the only Master Sommelier in Latin America gives LAN a deep competitive advantage over its competitors. "The feedback from such savvy travelers tells us that we are going in the right direction. We will continue to exceed our passengers' expectations throughout their LAN experience," commented Pablo Yunis, Vice President North/Central America.

More than 80% of LAN's long haul Boeing 767 fleet now offers the new cabins with outstanding design and service.
