GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Universal Forest Products, Inc. (Nasdaq: UFPI) announced that it is listed among Fortune magazine's Most Admired Companies for 2008.

Universal Forest Products markets, manufactures and engineers wood and wood-alternative products for DIY retail home centers; specialty wood packaging and components for various industries; structural lumber products for the manufactured housing industry; and engineered wood components for the site-built construction market. The Company also provides framing services for the site-built sector and recently announced its foray into the concrete forming market to supply wood forms used by concrete construction companies. Among its consumer products are wood and wood-composite decking and railings; decorative balusters and post caps in woods, glass and metals; and a variety of other outdoor living products for the spectrum of tastes and budgets.
