Telemedicus Releases Mobile DREAMS to Federal & State Agencies
Business Wire, March 17, 2008
HOUSTON -- Telemedicus, Inc. (OTC:TMDI) announced today it is marketing the new DREAMS[TM] mobile 9-1-1 platform for research purposes to Federal and State agencies.
TMDI is continuing its efforts to build relationships for future sales with Federal and State agencies by offering the mobile platform for research. Telemedicus is showcasing its capabilities to agencies, such as, Homeland Security, the Department of Defense and State and local organizations that are testing their plans for expanded telemedicine operations. TMDI will sell the DREAMS[TM] platform as a teaching model to educate future users about the advantages of our technology. In addition, TMDI is offering this platform and its fixed-site version to several research institutions to develop new applications, hardware and the integration of support products.
"The two platforms we have released are build-to-order as we work towards transferring to a contract manufacturer in the very near future," said Steve Price, COO of Telemedicus. He added, "The telemedicine convention is three weeks away, and we want customers to know we have these versions available."
TMDI's DREAMS[TM] technology effectively turns 9-1-1 ambulances, clinics or medical transportation vehicles into mobile trauma centers or tele-health care locations. The technology integrates components manufactured by Advantech (Tel Aviv:ADVT), Cisco (NASDAQ:CSCO), Dell (NASDAQ:DELL) and Panasonic (NYSE:MC).
