Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America Announces Dazzling 80-Inch Megaview Video Wall Cube
Business Wire, March 18, 2008
New Cube Creates Big, Bright Image for Large Command and Control Environments
IRVINE, Calif. -- Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America's Presentation Products Division, known for award-winning, high-quality presentation and display products, today introduced its MegaView Wall[TM] video wall cube that measures 80-inches diagonally, designed specifically for large command and control centers. In the past, large cubes have been notoriously dim, but Mitsubishi's VS-80PH40U SXGA resolution (1400 x 1050 pixels) cube uses a proprietary, high-powered projection engine to provide 190 cd/m2 of brightness, which is brighter than most cubes of similar diagonal dimension.
Because of its bright image, Mitsubishi's new VS-80PH40U cube is perfectly suited for large data wall installations, particularly where viewers sit far back from the screens. The new 80-inch cube uses Black Bead screen technology, providing superior contrast and black levels while offering excellent viewing angles - both horizontally and vertically.
"Our approach was to create an 80-inch cube with bright, dynamic images and better viewing angles," said Matt Krstulja, national sales manager, Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America's Presentation Products Division. "We're confident our new cube will impress clients who have been disappointed with large screens that provide inadequate brightness."
Like all of Mitsubishi's video wall cubes, the new VS-80PH40U offers a number of features that are efficient, cost-effective and help ensure consistent image and color quality throughout the life of each cube:
* Mitsubishi's proprietary Dynamic Brightness Balancing[TM] provides brightness uniformity: adjustments are made automatically to insure uniform brightness across the wall.
* Smart Lamp[TM] and Smart Colorwheel[TM] technologies maintain color uniformity across the wall. Each lamp and color wheel stores its own color characteristics internally, and if either the lamp or color wheel is replaced, then the feature is automatically activated to recalibrate the cube for perfect and consistent color balance with the rest of the video wall cubes.
* Mitsubishi's optional motorized adjustment tool allows a single technician to adjust the alignment between screens, a process which usually requires two technicians.
* An exclusive automatic lamp-changing unit senses a lamp failure or any luminance changes, thereby decreasing or eliminating downtime due to a failed lamp.
Powered by Texas Instruments' reliable and sharp Digital Light Processing[R] technology for crystal clear imaging, the 80-inch VS-80PH40U MegaView video wall cube is designed for 24/7/365 operation for mission critical environments.
Availability, Warranty
Mitsubishi's new VS-80PH40U is currently available through authorized systems integrators. The 80-inch cube comes with Mitsubishi's two-year limited warranty on parts and labor plus a 4,000-hour limited warranty on the lamp.
