TECO Energy Announces Webcast of Update to the Financial Community

TAMPA -- TECO Energy, Inc. (NYSE:TE) today announced that it plans to Webcast an update to the financial community on Thursday March 27, 2008 at 8:00 AM Eastern time. TECO energy plans to update its 2008 outlook, the outlook for coal markets and the company's longer-range plans, primarily for Tampa Electric. The Webcast will be concurrent with a presentation to financial analysts.
The Webcast and related materials can be accessed by following the link on TECO Energy's home page at www.tecoenergy.com or on the "Investors" page of TECO Energy's Web site. It will be available for replay for 30 days, starting approximately two hours after the conclusion of the live event.
TECO Energy, Inc. (NYSE:TE) is an energy-related holding company. Its principal subsidiary, Tampa Electric Company, is a regulated utility in Florida with both electric and gas divisions (Tampa Electric and Peoples Gas System). Other subsidiaries include TECO Coal, which owns and operates coal production facilities in Kentucky and Virginia, and TECO Guatemala, which is engaged in electric power generation and distribution and energy-related businesses in Guatemala.
